David was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Dowling High School. After graduation, he attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he earned Bachelors degrees in both finance and economics.

David was hired by U.S. Bancorp’s Mutual Fund Services as a Transfer Agent Accountant at their Milwaukee headquarters. He was later promoted to the position of Mutual Fund Compliance Administrator in U.S. Bancorp’s Wealth Management Division.

David joined D.M. Kelly and Company in 2008 as a Registered Investment Advisor. He has Series 7 and 66 licenses and obtained the Principal designation with the successful completion of the Series 24 and 53 tests.

David works with Bob Dorweiler, D.M. Kelly & Company’s Managing Director of Municipal Bonds. “I like the small business environment here at D.M. Kelly & Company,” says David. “I have a direct impact on the large inventory that our firm carries and as a result, carry a running knowledge of what products are available to my clients at any given time.”

David was elected the Secretary of DMKC Advisory Services’ Investment Committee and plays a vital role in the research and assessment of the securities that make up DMKC Advisory Services’ core business.

In his spare time, David participates in softball and volleyball leagues in the Des Moines area and enjoys undertaking various home repair projects.
