Born in Baudette, Minnesota the youngest of four boys, David graduated from Lake of the Woods High School before earning a degree in Marketing Management from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

David accepted a position in the Des Moines office of Dain Bosworth (now RBC, Inc.) serving institutional clients and managing retirement accounts. David joined D.M. Kelly & Company in 1995 and currently serves as Investment Advisor & Branch Manager.

Leaning heavily on his northern Minnesota roots, David has helped coach two Des Moines youth hockey teams to Midwest League championships. He also spends time coaching youth basketball as well as playing hockey, golf and softball.

David and his wife Jennifer have a son. They are active members of St. Augustin's parish in Des Moines and David serves on the board of Holy Family School. Together they enjoy playing golf and softball and volunteering their time to support Children and Families of Iowa, where Jennifer serves on the Foundation Board.
