Dan C. McPhail • Managing Director

 

Dan McPhail was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Omaha Westside High School in 1969. Dan majored in Finance at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and received his degree from the College of Business Administration in 1973.

Following graduation, Dan accepted a position with IBM Corporation and worked in "Big Blue's" renowned marketing department where he developed a solid foundation of customer service and traditional business skills. Realizing his talents for investment management, Dan joined the Des Moines branch of Dain Bosworth (now RBC Dain Rauscher) and became a broker in 1981. Dan worked for RBC Dain Rauscher for 19 years where he was Vice President and joined D.M. Kelly & Company in July of 1999 as Managing Director.

Dan and his wife Joanne work at D.M. Kelly & Company as a team. Both are licensed brokers and bring more than 35 years of experience to their customers. "Joanne and I provide a level of customer service that is truly unique to this industry," says Dan. "With my balanced approach to investing and Joanne's attention to detail, we exceed our clients most demanding expectations."

Dan and Joanne have a son who graduated from the University of Iowa and is currently working in Ohio and a daughter enrolled at Ohio University. They are active in the local community serving on the foundation board of their church and the Iowa State Soccer Board. Together they enjoy playing golf and attending sporting events.
